Important Notes:
- Bring a refillable water bottle
- Bring a Merit Badge Blue Card signed by Scoutmaster. Make sure all three parts are filled in with the Scout's personal information before arrival.
- Review the merit badge requirements and pamphlet prior to the event. Health Care Professions
- Prepare for Requirement 8. "Identify a medical advancement or discovery that has been in the news recently. Discuss with your counselor how this can affect patient care."
- Requirement 9 needs to be done outside the session. "With your parent or guardian's and counselor's approval, serve as a volunteer at a health-related event or facility in your community (e.g. blood drive, health fair, blood pressure screening event)". If you can complete before the event, bring evidence to report to your counselor what you did and learned from the experience. Otherwis, it will need to be completed at a later day and Ms. Shannon contacted.
