Red Cross Instructor Training

CPR/AED/First Aid Wilderness First Aid Instructor Training

The Course is presented in four (4) training sessions.  You will complete one online course before February 12, 2026, and attend three (3) in-person sessions noted below.  

When you register and pay, you will be provided with information and links to the online American Red Cross (ARC) Instructor training platform.  You must complete the online training module before the first in-person session, print the completion certificate and bring it on February 12th.  

Prerequisites:  Students MUST be 16 years old by the last day of the class (February 15, 2026) and have taken CPR/AED/First Aid Course within the last four years.

Instructor Course Registration

Cost: $150 per person *

In-person Sessions:

  • February 12, 2026 | 6 PM - 10 PM | Volunteer Service Center
  • February 14, 2026 | 9 AM - 4 PM | Volunteer Service Center
  • February 15, 2026 | 9 AM - 4 PM | Volunteer Service Center

* The $150 will be reimbursed to you if you are active with the AAC Instructor Team.  To be reimbursed, you must be Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certified by the ARC, pass the instructor course, and complete the Wilderness First Aid training "bridge module" (online course), and teach Wilderness First Aid.  Each time you teach WFA, you are eligible for a $50 refund up to $150.  

As an instructor, you are eligible (and required) to recertify in both CPR/AED/First Aid and WFA at no cost to you if you are actively engaged each spring and fall teaching the courses.

CPR/AED/Fist Aid Training!

The Atlanta Area Council is a proud partner with the American Red Cross to provide CPR/AED certifications to the Scouting community and the general public.

Adult CPR & AED $60- A 4-hour course detailing basic CPR & AED concepts. This will be held at Bert Adams Scout Camp. The course starts at 5:00pm and concludes at approximately 9:00pm. Please arrive by 4:45 pm to check in. Please see note below about what to bring with you. No minimum age.

What to bring to class: Please bring your own pen/pencil. These courses are fast paced with few, short breaks. You will want to bring easy-to-eat snacks and a refillable water bottle. You will also be kneeling on the ground for long periods of time, please consider bringing a pad.


About the certification: When registering, please ensure that each person registered to attend has their own email address listed on the registration system. The email address is the unique identifier in the American Red Cross database. All persons recertifying with the American Red Cross should ensure the participant email address listed on the registration is the exact same email used for prior certifications through the American Red Cross. Certificates will be issued by the American Red Cross and will come from the email address classes-notify@usa.redcross.org Participants may expect to receive the email with the certificate about ten business days after the course (check your spam folder).
