Vision Statement
We envision a Gilwell Society where every trained leader finds friendship, purpose, and
opportunities to lead with confidence. Through engaging activities, meaningful service,
and leadership development, we will grow a supportive network of volunteers who
enhance Scouting at every level. By empowering one another and making volunteering
fun, we ensure that every Scout benefits from great mentors and life-changing
experiences.

Mission Statement
The Gilwell Society of the Atlanta Area Council brings together trained Scouting
volunteers to connect, grow, and lead with purpose. We foster a welcoming space
where Wood Badge alumni and other trained leaders live the values of Scouting
through service, mentorship, and camaraderie. By supporting one another and staying
engaged, we strengthen the Scouting movement and ensure that every volunteer feels
empowered to make a lasting impact.
