WEBELOS Leader Training

Welcome to WEBELOS Cub Scouts!

If you are a new leader who has not yet taken “Youth Protection Training” please click here

WEBELOS Cub Scouts are generally 4th Grade students.

We are excited that you have agreed to be a WEBELOS Den Leader, or Co-Leader, or Assistant Den Leader, or other leader role in your Pack.

We encourage you to become a trained Den Leader. Training will help you understand the Cub Scout program, give you confidence in your abilities, and enable you to have FUN with your Cubs while you help them on their Scouting trail.

The first step in becoming a trained Leader is to take Youth Protection training – it is available at My.Scouting in the “BSA Learn Center”.  This is required to accept your application to register as an Adult Leader.

Then, there are two ways to finish becoming a trained Leader.

  1. Go to a “live” in person training program – the list of upcoming programs is at Cub Scout Leader Training.  This class will be taught by an experienced Cub Leader. You will learn tricks of the trade with other new Cub leaders. Den Leaders, and Assistants will also need to complete online “Hazardous Weather Training” through My.Scouting.
  2. Online training through My.Scouting.  Select your program and position and a learning plan will be created for you. The plan consists of a series of modules that you may take at your leisure.

Thank you for taking the time to become a trained leader.
