Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Eta Lambda Chapter proudly announces the

3rd Annual Fall Alpha Merit Badge University (AMBU) on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

This exciting event provides Scouts from across the region a powerful opportunity to advance their Scouting journey,  especially on the path to the Eagle Scout rank. Focused on empowerment, leadership development, and community service, the Fall 2025 AMBU continues its commitment to reaching and inspiring youth from underserved communities.

40+ Merit Badge Classes Offered

Cost:

  • $15 Early Registration (Aug 1 - Aug 31)
  • $20 Registration (Sep 1 - Sept 20)
  • $25 Registration (On-site)
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (American Red Cross):  $40 for Scouts | $55 for Adults

Camping Option for Participating Troops Arriving from Greater than 60 Miles Away from Morehouse College: an opportunity is available to camp at Clinton Park Preserve (8720 Ephesus Church Rd, Villa Rica, GA) - 30 miles from Morehouse College at no cost to Scouts\. Do you have partially completed merit badges that you’ve been meaning to finish?

  • Are you missing just one or two requirements to earn the badge?
  • Did you start a merit badge at summer camp or a previous AMBU but never got it signed off?
  • Do you have work completed at home or with your troop that still needs to be reviewed by a certified Merit Badge Counselor?

Now is your chance to complete those badges!

At this year’s Alpha Merit Badge University (AMBU), we are offering a special Partial Sign-Off option.

  • No need to sit through a full class again to get sign-off! 
  • You MUST Bring your documentationworksheetspicture, or proof of completion for any outstanding requirements.
  • Meet with certified Merit Badge Counselors who will review your work and sign off on completed requirements.
  • Partial Sign-Off option is NOT a replacement for attending a merit badge class for the first time.
  • Lunch is also included for Scouts registered for Partial sign-offs.

Cancellation, No Refund, and No Transfer Policy

To ensure that we can continue to offer high-quality programming at an affordable cost for all participants, the following policy applies to all registrations:

  1. No Cancellations or Refunds
    • Once registration is completed and payment is submitted, no cancellations or refunds will be issued (except for the CPR class).
    • This policy allows us to maintain the low registration fees while covering essential event expenses, including instructional materials, merit badge counselors, facilities, and meals for the Scouts.
  2. No Transfers or Substitutions
    • Registrations cannot be transferred to another participant or applied to a future event (except for the CPR class)
    • Each registration is only valid for the individual Scout registered at the time of payment and for the specific event date.
  3. Event Commitment
    • Please register only when you are certain that your Scout can attend the event.
    • We encourage families to review their schedules before completing the registration process.
